Mazol Shriners Welcomes New Nobles

Three new nobles were created at the Wednesday March 8th LRSC meeting. We would like to welcome Keith Goulding, Ben Simms and Lloyd Morgan. Thanks to Noble Lloyd Walters for doing the organizing not once but twice. Plans to do the initiation last month had to be canceled at the last minute due to weather. The LRSC Nobles ladies were in attendance and the new Nobles were adorned with their own fez by their ladies.

Thanks to the LRSC Nobles who participated in the ceremony. Congratulations to the new Nobles and their Ladies and welcome to the Shrine and our Mazol Temple!

Montreal Shriners Hospital worked with the incredible team at CTV’s W5 for a year on this report.  Recently a report was received by Montreal Shriners Hospital about Mykola, who is back in Ukraine.  He goes to a school with a sports program every day, he swims every day, he has begun to smile and laugh spontaneously. Most importantly, he walks a lot!

Richard Steele Gallery Donates a Framed Print which Raises $1,000 For Mazol Shriners Patient Transportation Fund

A framed print  “Autumn Mozaic” was donated in August, 2016 by the Richard Steele Gallery, as has been done for the last number of years.  Special thanks goes to Richard Steele for the kind donation and continued support.
Tickets were sold at many of the Shrine Club visit in Newfoundland and Labrador as well as at the annual Mazol Shriners Golf Tournament. At this golf tournament there was a member of the Montreal Hospital Board, Noble David Merritt. He bought several tickets on this print and to his surprise was the winner. By selling tickets on this print, Mazol Shriners raised $1,000 for the Patient Transportation Fund.
The painting was presented (see picture below) by Ill. Sir Roger Tinkham P.P. to Noble David Merritt during his recent visit to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal.
