After one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year, Canadians all over banded together on Giving Tuesday to raise money for Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada! The campaign goal was to raise $5,000 for a new physiotherapy bike to help rehabilitate children with orthopedic injuries. Dorel Industries, the company that designed the rehabilitation bike, matched every donation dollar for dollar . The campaign raised $11,606.30 – more than double the campaign goal thanks to the generous donations from Canadians and Dorel Industries.
“Our new digital, programmable physiotherapy bicycle will help thousands of teens from across Canada get back on their feet more quickly and safely. In addition, the bike, as well as all new rehabilitation equipment we’re aiming to purchase, will help us treat more kids and teens – part of our goal at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Canada.”
