Dear Fellow Nobles:
It is indeed a pleasure for me, on behalf of all the Nobility of Mazol Shriners,
to welcome you to the old, historic city of St. John’s, for the NSA 2007 Fall
Field Days.
Before Confederation with Canada in 1949, Newfoundland was a British
Colony. Our ancestors were primarily English, Scottish, Irish or French.
As you tour the Island or walk through the charming old streets of downtown
St. John’s, a sense of European Culture will be ever present and you will feel
the warmth and friendliness that Newfounderlanders are known for.
Our headquarters Hotel, the St. John’s Delta, is just a very short walk from
Water Street, with it’s many restaurants, shops and boutiques. Also within
a very short walk is George Street, the night life spot in St. John’s, with more
pubs and restaurants per city block, than any other Street in Canada. You will
find great food and entertainment and can feel safe walking the Streets of
St. John’s any time of the day or night.
Take advantage of the Historic Tours of St. John’s that are available.
You will not want to miss the Gala Newfoundland Party on Saturday
Night, at which we hope to make many of you honorary Newfoundlanders.
Again a warm welcome to all. Mazol Temple is proud to be the host for
NSA 2007.
Yours in the Faith,
John H. Brake, President
Northeast Shrine Association
